barleymash is widely known for their elevated bar fare that will tantalize your taste buds right in the heart of the Gaslamp. Chef Kevin Templeton’s menu of barleymacs includes five unique ways to indulge! Brussels Heaven combines charred brussels sprouts, whiskey caramelized onions, applewood-smoked bacon, shredded parmesan, and a balsamic Jager reduction, while The Mash cheese-lovers mac n cheese is topped with ale-braised pork shoulder, bourbon-bbq sauce, fresh jalapenos, and crispy tobacco onions.

Looking forward to the holiday, and can’t wait until lunch or dinner to enjoy a bowl of mac and cheese? Breakfast Republic is Southern California’s biggest believer in the most important meal of the day. With sixteen locations from Hillcrest to Irvine to Culver City, all of SoCal can celebrate with Breakfast Bacon Mac n Cheese topped with parmesan breadcrumbs, chives, and three eggs any style.

Louisiana Purchase, North Park’s taste of New Orleans is featuring four specials in honor of National Mac n Cheese Day. Choose from Southeast Cat Mac ($22), Smoked Gouda Mac ($12), Truffle Lobster ($36), and Crawfish Mac ($24). If you can’t decide, go for a Mac Flight and cheese three flavors for $50!

Q&A Restaurant and Oyster Bar, sister restaurant to Louisiana Purchase and headed by the same culinary mastermind, Chef Quinnton “Q” Austin, brings authentic dishes with a Southern flair to Oceanside on the ground floor of The Brick Hotel. The NOLA Classics section on the menu brings diners the rich and flavorful Lobster Mac with lobster and smoked gouda mac n cheese.

The Smoking Gun is located on Market Street, and has mastered the art of a perfectly cheesy mac n cheese. As the winner of the 2017 San Diego Mac n Cheese Fest, Chef Andy’s ooey-gooey cheesy dish is a must-try! The Smoking Gun Mac n Cheese combines elbow macaroni noodles, poblano-beer cheese, and cheddar.

What better way to spend National Mac n Cheese Day than at the ultimate backyard BBQ? Park 101 in Carlsbad brings guests an outdoor complex complete with firepits, indoor and outdoor seating, and a Jumbo LED screen for all your favorite sporting events. The Loaded BBQ Mac is the perfect way to celebrate this special day, topped with pulled pork, spiced BBQ sauce, shredded cheese, and chives.
