The Gaslamp’s The Smoking Gun is welcoming back football by hosting a Meat Raffle. Popular in Minnesota and Wisconsin, a meat raffle is just what it sounds like: a chance for patrons at their favorite local watering hole to bring home some meaty prizes – sausages, steaks, you name it. From 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., The Smoking Gun will give football fanatics and guests the chance to win hundreds of dollars' worth of individually wrapped, ready-to-cook-at-home steaks and meats. Winners will also be given the option to have their meat cooked at The Smoking Gun for an additional charge. Pacific Beach’s Mavericks Beach Club is hosting a Sunday Football Kickoff Party from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. The BIG Sunday Football Kickoff Party will take place in the side lot, and Mavericks will be setting up bleachers and a big screen for all to enjoy the games throughout the day.
